Tour de France Stage 2

I woke up early in the morning on Sunday with my brother, ready and raring to cycle the 35 kilometres over to the A628 and the point where we would watch Stage 2 from. Neither of us had ever watched the tour live before and despite the long wait for the riders, the 2.5 million other people who lined the roads of Yorkshire for stages 1 and 2 meant the atmosphere was incredible, akin to that of the Olympics in London two years ago. Rather than ramble on about the stage, as results are widely available elsewhere and you can watch it for a further 30 days on ITV player, I thought I would tell the story of our day and our experience of the tour in photos. So here are a selection of my favourites from the momentous stage 2, 150 kilometres into the race with about 50 kilometres to go. This is just a selection of my favourites the full gallery is on my flickr page here.
